Election '08 #1

I've noticed that the only candidates who are consistently forthright and honest are the ones with no chance to win.

I wonder . . . do they tell the truth because they have no chance, or do they have no chance because they tell the truth?

Good point. I never thought of it that way before. I think it could be that the candidates who have no chance of winning are much freer to just say what they want, whereas the front runners are under this constant microscope to keep the many different factions of their respective parties happy.
